Reiki and Energy work, such as I do, creates space for healing horses.

It helps to relieve a variety of conditions in the horse: from behavioral, such as anxiety or mistrust; to physical ones, including chronic pain and acute illness.

It’s a holistic approach; it not only addresses the physical body of the horse, but their spiritual, emotional and mental health states as well.

Whether your or your horse’s energy is depleted or over stimulated, energy work can effectively re-balance both your energies.

How Equine Reiki Works

Energy flows through the body of a horse in good health much like an electric current.

However, a number of factors can interfere with this flow.

Among them are physical injuries, trauma, dietary changes, emotional problems, training issues or a combination of these problems.

Any blockage of energy can result in physical, psychological and mental issues.

An individual providing Equine Reiki restores positive energy flow into the animal’s body, correcting imbalance.

Horses are particularly sensitive and quickly pick up on the healing a practitioner offers through hands-on or even hands-off means.

Typically, the animal will approach and quickly become a willing participant.

Karen can provide hands-on in person or remote long distance energy work for your horse.

Horses are absolute marvels of engineering and connectivity. They are animals of prey, and herbivores,  who rely on flight for survival.

The bones are all connected to each other and to the inner organs of the horse, and they’re all connected for flight, for survival.

All of this, is connected to and entwined in the mind and spirit. What goes on in one part of the horse’s body affects the rest of the body in some manner.

Discomfort or pain can affect your horse’s performance immensely.

Bucking, crow-hopping, refusal to take a lead, rearing, bolting, shying, jigging, prancing, resistance, balking, hollowing the back, throwing the head up, constant tension – not able to ‘round up’ – all of these can very commonly be attributed to muscular stiffness, painful muscle spasms, soft tissue adhesions, or soreness.

I believe body work is a vital part of helping you to maintain your horse at his optimum health and well-being.

It should become part of your regular routine and not be reserved for only when you already have problems or lameness or disease occurred and taken hold. It is another situation where I strongly believe prevention is the key.

The Mindset Balancing BodyWork and therapies I use are my own developed art.  The horse guides which modalities I apply.

Equine Touch, Masterson Method, CranioSacral, Shiatsu, Massage, Red Light and Accupressure are what I practice with my own horses and client horses.

Karen provides hands-on in person body work for your horses.
